About the Awards

The Investors Choice Awards have been created to highlight those
businesses best servicing property investors across the entire value chain.

What are the awards for?
There’s never been a more important time for investors to take charge of their financial destiny.

With the increased complexity of wealth creation, a property market in a state of flux matched with ever more demands on investors’ time, assembling a team of trusted professionals is vital for any successful investor.

The Investors Choice Awards, an initiative of one of Australia’s leading media companies Sterling Publishing, has been created to highlight those businesses that are best servicing property investors across the entire value chain – from the buyer’s agents locating and negotiating properties to the accountants supporting investors seeking tax efficiencies to build bigger and more effective portfolios.

Being recognised with an Investors Choice Award is the ultimate accolade in a profession where trust is essential and results are expected.

Awards will be issued across all categories on a state-by state basis – highlighting the localised nature of property investment and the individual services provided in different markets across Australia.

The voting process will run from June 15 until August 14 2015 and is open to all firms and professionals countrywide.

How does the voting work?
All companies and individuals offering services or advice to property investors have the opportunity to get their clients to vote for them – scoring them on their level of support, professionalism and value for money.

Voters will be asked to score the business they’re voting for across four key sectors, with the overall score used to determine finalists and the eventual winner in each state for every award category.

Voting is easy and takes less than a minute to complete.

As well as supporting their preferred property professional or organisation, participants have the opportunity to go into the draw to win an Apple Watch or a Samsung Gear S!

Who can vote?
Voting is open to any investor who has used a professional to support the purchase of a property (whether an investment property or owner-occupied). It is possible to vote across multiple categories as well as for multiple companies. However only one vote can be placed per company or individual for each category.

Can I tell my customers to vote for me?
Absolutely, and you are encouraged to do so!! Email your customers to let them know about the awards, add info in your newsletter, post it on social media or call them – let them know that you’d like to participate and get them to vote. We’ve put together a selection of marketing materials here to help, or you can use you own.

Remember to let your costumers know that by voting they can also go into the draw to win an Apple Watch.

How are businesses or individuals scored?
Voters will score their nominees across four key areas:

  • Value for money – Participants can score their service provider/adviser based on their opinion towards the value provided compared to the dollar amount paid. Score ranges from Terrible to Excellent, which is allocated an actual score of 1-5.
  • Quality of advice/service – Participants can score their service provider/adviser on the quality of the support offered based on how well they serviced their needs, met their expectations, offered value, achieved desired outcomes or displayed expertise. Score ranges from Terrible to Excellent, which is allocated an actual score of 1-5.
  • Customer experience – Participants can score their service provider/ adviser on the overall customer experience, taking into account factors such as customer support, communication, accessibility, speed of delivery or any other factor. Score ranges from Terrible to Excellent, which is allocated an actual score of 1-5.
  • Net Promoter Score – This is a universal rating system used by businesses over the world that indicated how likely someone is to recommend a product or services to friends or colleagues. It’s a simple benchmark that quickly indicates a holistic view of a company and how happy someone was in utilising them. Participants can score their service provider/ adviser from 0 to 10, with 0 being not at all likely and 10 being extremely likely.
